Brink of a Revolution

Here, on the brink of a revolution
Standing alone, staring upon crossroads
Wondering what is my contribution
Seeing visions; trying to break their codes

Reevaluating what is the norm
Look to your elders, observing their path
Navigating the impending storm
Forestall her winds by observing her wrath

Clear skies and sunsets on the horizon
Take hold of your life; set course for your goals
To catch those winds one must set their mizzen
A keen eye toward obstacles and shoals

If a path is lain, let kismet find me
Give me the strength to navigate my sea

Robt. L Stevenson

"Sailing the sea was stupefying to the mind and poisonous to the temper; the sea, the motions, the lack of space, the cruel publicity, the villainous tinned food, the sailors, the captain, the passengers -- but you are amply repaid when you sight an island, and drop anchor in a new world."

Robt. Louis Stevenson, aboard S/V Casco 1888
In a letter to a friend
